Introducing Eleanor: Diet Coke Unveils a New Spokes Model

Eleanor was conceived and designed by Mother, London with help from Rokkit, London directors Legs, who built the marionettes (alongside design studio Puppet Heap).

The fashion-forward marionette is at the heart of Diet Coke's sponsorship Ad for American comedy Ugly Betty, on Channel 4 and E4 here in the UK.

While Ugly Betty's titular character is loveable, if not bumbling, as she tries to make her way in the fashion world, Eleanor seems to have the industry's alley cat ethos down pact. She shows her handiness with a blow torch which is accessorized in snake skin, which she uses to do everything from tailor clothes to burning holes in them to hustle reduced boutique prices. Eleanor had everything that we'd all desperately want in fashion-forward clothing.

Like Bianca du Val, Eleanor is feisty, fierce, charming, innocent and all about fashion and we at Bianca du Val LOVE HER!

But who is Eleanor really?  It's a question that has preceded many an exposé on shrouded starlets, celebs and supermodels…

Modelling Competitions
Bianca du Val is looking for new faces to model on our website and for our media coverage and we want our brand to reflect our clients so we are asking YOU, our beloved clients, as you are the best models in the World!

If you think you have what it takes to pout and pose in front of the camera, all you need to do is eMail us at bianca@biancaduval.com, and send us a face shot and full body shot along with your height and dress size, your age and location.

You will be expected to find your own way to and from the photo shoots.

The lucky winners will be featured throughout our website and in the magazines we use, PLUS you will also receive the images from the shoot for FREE…that’s a FREE portfolio!!

Our second photo shoot of the competition will take place in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, dates to be released soon, so keep an eye on our Blog.  Further details will be discussed with our winning models.

Entries are always welcome, as we will be having a photo shoots every 3 months.

Note to Models: All applications will be kept on file.

In response to many of the comments we've had regarding the minimum age of our models, models must be at least 15 years of age.  If under the age of 18, you must bring a parent/guardian with you to all photo shoots.  Both model and parent/guardian must provide identification (e.g. Passports, ID cards) before the photo shoot can take place!  Also, if you are under 18, you must bring a signed letter of consent from your parent or guardian.  This is the type of content that we require in the letter of consent:

I, (name of the parent/guardian) give permission to Bianca du Val to take photographs of (name of model here), for use on the Bianca du Val website, for use in advertising campaigns in the media and on the Internet.  You must include your address, telephone number, eMail address, date and signature.
